SHIRTS
Lay the collar flat and measure from the centre of collar button to the far end of the buttonhole. The number of inches equals the collar size.
To measure the sleeve, bend the elbow, and measure from the centre of the neck at the back to the elbow and down to the wrist. Number of inches = size.
Lay the shirt flat, measure from 2" below one underarm to the other underarm, and double the measurement.
SKIRTS
Measure the full circumference of the waist band of the skirt; this will give you an accurate waist measurement.
Measure the skirt from the waist band to the lowest part of the hem.
Lay the skirt on a flat surface. Pull out the width of the hem. Measure across and double this number for the hem circumference.
T-SHIRTS & JUMPERS
Lay the garment on a flat surface and measure from the top of the back of the neck to the hem. This will give you the length size.
Measure from the shoulder seam to the cuff for arm length.
Measure across the front from underarm to underarm. Double this figure for the chest measurement.
TROUSERS
Measure across the front of the waist band. Double this measurement for the full waist size.
There are two ways to measure the trouser length, and you will need to let your buyer know which version you used. You can either measure the trouser from the top of the inside leg to the ankle seam or you can measure from the waistband to the ankle seam. Be sure to mark your measurement with outside leg measurement or inside leg measurement.
